My 2 SuperActive Kids

Here is the event we did last Sat before the incident happen.

Early morning, after their usual cup of milk, we went to Penang Maxim at Tmn. Pekaka for Dim Sum.

Ed-very unhappy that Ern took away the “Raddish Cake” (Loh Pak Kou) and hubby don’t let him have it until he finished off the one on his plate.

It was almost 11:30 after our breakfast. We went straight to Chew Thean Yeang Aquarium at Burma road. I didn’t know this place until my friend, Wei Wei told me that. Wow… really didn’t know that there’s such a big aquarium here. It’s actually a shop selling fishes and pets. The fishes are sensitive to cameras, hence, shooting is forbidden. Just joking. I’m not sure if it’s true, but no photo taking is true. Hence, I don’t have any fishes photos to show here. You gotta go visit there by yourselves.

I went this close. LOL. Just zoomed in. Anyway, I prefer this much more than the crickets.

Ern kept asking us to give me some coins to throw at the turtle as he sees many coins there. He made some wishes and there he tossed over.

We spent about 2 hours there. Then, we headed to Sushi King at E-gate cas the kids were hungry. I ordered Unadon Double. Rice for Ed and soba for Ern.

Later in the afternoon, we went to hubby’s friend’s apartment. This was unplanned itenarary.

At fren’s apartment. Their daughter is only 8 this year ! Look at her size compared to Ern. We thought she was 11 yrs old.

Shooting game. Ern liked the spiderman mask very much. Luckily, Ed did not fight for it.

I did not bring my camera down to the pool. Hence, didn’t managed to capture the scary water slide that Ern had an accident earlier on.

After Ern recovered from the concussion, we went to have something he asked for. i.e his favorite pizza.
We went to Gurney Drive’s Pizza Hut which was the nearest to GMC. I upgraded the pizza to stuffed crust.
nmm…. so yummy, especially for the crust. We like it thin.

That goes our whole Sat. We reached home at about 10:30pm after the some jam right in front of our house due to the by-election talk.

We hope the kids had a memorable school break. (Not about the incident thing but the whole outing).

Yesterday morning, right before I go to work, he came running down from the stairs calling me:

Ed: Mummy! Mummy! Wait! Wait!

Me: (in the car, wind down my window) Yes, baby ? Mum need to go to work. Quickly put on your shirt before you catch a cold.

Ed: (still with his naked body) Mum, why does the people who do kung fu don’t wear clothes ?

Me Thinking…. Early in the morning ?? What a question ?! So, I said to him:

Me: Go and ask yr dad. I am in a rush.

LOL Good answer ?

What would you answer if your kids ask you this ? Because they’re hot ? Because it’s disturbing ? or bcas they want to show their muscles ??

Do you believe in bad things comes in three times within a short period of time ? Maybe in a day or in a week ? In 2 weeks ? In 1 month ?

And do you believe in super natural power ? Like a feeling of something’s gonna to happen to someone, not for good. Sixth sense ? People say women has a better sixth sense than man. I think I have this, for the uncountable times proven so.

Ern broken a 2nd plate yesterday. The 1st being just last week. Immediately after the 2nd incident, a thought flashes my mind that I should skip their swimming routine sche this Sat. They have been swimming in the adults pool recently, though not very good at it yet.

So, I thought of doing something different for this school break. Thus, early morning today, we went over to Pg for dim sum at the Maxim, Tmn. Perkaka with hubby’s fren. Then, we headed to “Chew Thean Yeang” aquarium at Burma road. (I’ll blog about this later. Haven’t got the time to upload and arrange my photos yet). Afterthat, we went to hubby’s fren’s apartment and the kids played happily in the apt.

Later in the afternoon, we went down to the swimming pool in the apt. There have a kids’ pool, adults’ pool and water slide pool. All the ‘male’ were in the pool except hubby’s fren’s wife, their kakak (the maid) and myself. Some played with the ball in the pool and some swam. Ed proudly showed his “mermaid” style swimming. They played happily. Not long after, the kids shifted to the water slide and we adults followed. Up they climb and down they slide from the water slide. It was about 3 to 4m tall slide, with about 3 turns at the top and a curve (about 45deg turn) to end the slide. It seems heavier kids tend to glide down faster because Ern’s speed was much slower than all of them (he being the skinniest).

After few rounds, as I was chit-chatting with his wife with my eyes always at the kids gliding from the slide, a horrific moment came to my sight. I witness a kid gliding down quite fast following the current/flow of the water in a sitting position and in an instant, he bang, knocked his head flat at the curving area. He was then lied down facing up. I stood up and shouted to hubby for help. The angle hubby at, weren’t clear enough to see what was happening. He only heard a bang and was looking everywhere to find out.

I again shouted “quickly go and see!!” pointing to the slide. I wasn’t quite sure but it really looked like Ernest. I shouted to hubby and said: “it’s Ernest”. Hubby rushed towards. (My God ! There wasn’t any motion from the kid. The water continues flowing and the kid were just lying down there, without getting up for 10 to 15 sec!! ). My heart dropped, my whole body went strengthless when I confirmed that the kid was ERNEST ! I shouted to carry him away from the water but I wasn’t sure if we should move him at that state. I wasn’t sure if we should put him lie down.

Hubby carried him up and put him lying on the floor. He did not open his eyes. Hubby tried sitting him up. He did not response. His eyes were abnormal. Only eye balls were seen (the white color portion only. Not the cornea). Hubby said that he was fainting. We quickly lie him down. Bring him to conscious by just calling him. When he was a bit conscious, we quickly dried him, changed him and put him lye on the bench. We gave him some sugar drink. It wasn’t for long that he lied there, we took him to the specialist, and was refered to the neurologist at GMC from Loh Guan Lye because he had a blocked out for about 10 to 15 secs.

All the way from the apt to Loh Guan Lye to GMC (30mins drive), he was strengthless and had a mild memory loss. He couldn’t remember his dad’s car no plate, he didn’t know that he was actually blocked out, bang and lied down there. He didn’t feel giddy nor dizzy but only pain in the forehead (but he bang at the back of his head). He was lying in the emergency room waiting for the neurologist, still then strengthless. Only after about 40mins after the incident, he could sit up by himself and act normally. That was before the neurologist arrived. Only then, we gave a deep breath. Neurologist confirmed that he is ok and need not be admitted. However, we still have to close monitor him for 24hrs.

It seems to me, if something wants to happen, it happens. The act of God ? No matter how early you knew it, it can’t be avoided. It’s beyond our control even if we were to becareful. What I learned here today is, if some things can’t be avoided, we should gain as much knowledge as possible on what to do during these circumstances. Life is fragile… Is really fragile. This is the 2nd time Ernest giving me heart attack.

Have you ever thought of having birthday every month ?

Edmund thought so. Last week, he asked if he could celebrate his birthday every month on the 13th. He said, “mom, can I celebrate my birthday every month ?” I was wondering why…. he did not say why either. I think it’s because he wants to have cake and ice-cream every month.

It was then on the 8th, if I wasn’t mistaken. I thought of buying him a cake on the 13th and give him a surprise. HOWEVER, I’VE FORGOTTEN !

Early 13th morning, I kept telling myself that I have something to do, and for the whole day, I couldn’t figure out what it was….. and…. only until it has passed, I recalled. Too late

So, I hope, I will remember it next month, to buy him a small cake, and see what’s his reaction.

Ern’s trimester’s exam has just over last Thur. So far, his results were above 90% except for Bahasa Penulisan (Malay composition) and Mandarin Composition. He got both just above passing marks. I think I’ll have to buy him more of Malay and Chinese story books to strengthen his vocab.

Anyway, it’s over. As a token of his hardwork during his exam, we took him to have his all time favorite food - Pizza@Pizza Hut on the same day after his exam. …

Yes, we really went there but not really because of that. hahaha (so bad). It’s so coincidence that Justin and Isabelle came back from Bangkok and were leaving on Fri morning. Amy said that Justin had waited for the whole day long to play with Ernest.

Ed finished his pizza and asked for dessert. A sundae ice-cream. We ordered 1 for him…. and he was as curious as like any other time, he pulled up a chair and stood right in front of the counter where the ice-cream was made. So many workers attending to 1 customer.

After that, it was Justin’s time ! At last, he could play with Ernest at our house. The kids were like old friends gathering. They played in their playroom, while adults have their tea session at our porch.

Going to work, driving alone is boring. After almost a month car-pool with my friend, it has came to her last working day last week. So, starting this monday, I was back alone again..

So to say that it has almost been a month that I did not turn on my favorite radio…
Since I’m alone again now, I have plenty of time switching from one station to the other. Yet still, my favorite radio station is Mix FM, mainly because the song they aired are more towards country pop, not so much of hard rocks.

Here, I wanted badly this song. I tried humming it to one of my colleague asking her for the title of the song but she couldn’t understand what I hummed ! What a sad story..
